This was an enjoyable short read. The 117 pages paranormal romance made me laugh; something that I didn’t expect at all. Vella Day did a great job with Wade and Emmaline’s characters. This is the kind of book that you will read on your train ride home without putting it down. The characters are likeable and the scenes enjoyable. The story line was strong enough that made you going and wanting more; the details are consistent with genre. The sex scenes are steamy and frequent enough that they don’t over power the book; they made you connect with the characters on a different level. Shifting Destinies is book 3 in the Hidden Hills Shifter Series by Vella Day. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but that didn’t seem to make a difference in understanding anything that was going on. It was a very quick read and I look forward to reading more from this author.
I loved the connection that was made between our two main characters, Wade Black and Emmaline Wilder. They had such hot chemistry!! The story was built around them, but was told in such a way that it made you endear to them, wanting to know what was going to happen next.
Emmaline has trouble accepting that mates exist, especially coming from the family background that she comes from. Her family are prejudice against any shifters that is not wolf, and nothing terrifies her more than for them to find out that the shifter that has her heart is not a wolf.
Wade is a proud bear shifter and knows he has found his mate when he sees Emmaline, now all he has to do is convince her that mates exist and sometimes destiny knows best. He has a plan and he only hopes destiny is truly on his side!
A great read and I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a book that they could read in a quick hour.

I really enjoyed the third book in this series featuring Emmaline and Wade. I thought it was very entertaining.
Good story . I enjoy this series. If I had any friends I would recommend this Author and series .seeing as I do not will have to settle for the strangers on FB . Looking forward to more from this Author.
I loved how Wade just accepted Emmaline as his mate. The chemistry between them was soooo hot!! The support of his family and their friends was sweet, but really want to find her family and beat them all to a pulp. Prejudice stinks!! Great read!
